About these games

Playpal Games is a love letter to old arcades and pocket consoles. The idea is simple: games small enough to learn in seconds and hard to put down.

All our own work

The Playpal Pocket isn't a real product, in case the history on the home page was too convincing. It's a made-up console that exists only on this site.

Every character, level, picture, tune and sound effect here was made by Playpal from scratch. Nothing is copied from an existing game, there are no old game files, and nothing runs on an emulator. Pictures are drawn by code and sounds are made by your device as you play. Game names and characters are ours too.

These games share broad ideas with decades of the arcade tradition, such as dodging, stacking and shooting, but they don't reproduce any particular game. We aren't connected with, or endorsed by, any game company.

Who it's for

The games have no chat and no accounts, and nothing in them is for sale. Ads and optional tips support the site, and ads appear below the game, never over it.
